Have you seen any advertisements on television lately for pharmaceutical medicine? The ad normally goes something like this, “If you’re suffering from XYZ then you should take ABC. Please note that if your suffer from w, t, n, p, q then you should not take this medication.”

To me it’s hilarious, really! Why? Because by the time they have completed the list of persons who suffer with various illnesses who should not take the advertised medication, that pretty much rules out EVERYBODY!

There is a very effective healing method called REFLEXOLOGY, however, that has been working for ages to help persons, regardless of age, bring healing to their own bodies by helping the body to harness its own self-healing powers.

I have been successfully using reflexology, myself for more than 12 years now, as I have shared with readers in my Squidoo article titled “WOMAN, HEAL THY SELF! – Reflexology for Women’s Health”.

Although I focused on women and girls in that article, anybody can experience healing through reflexology as you will see when you explore the PLANTAR FOOT MAP that I have included. You can do reflexology on your own hands and feet or those of your loved ones to help restore perfect health to them or yourself. Or you can treat yourself and go to a licensed reflexologist to have it done for you.

Take YOUR health back into your own hands and TRY REFLEXOLOGY today!

Why Reproductive Health is Important at EVERY Age!

If you’re a woman of childbearing age or a man of a responsible age to sire a child, then it’s important that you take care of your reproductive system in order to avoid fibroids and cysts (for women), as well as low sperm count and sexual impotence (for men).

If you’re an older woman or an older man, you also need to take good care of your reproductive system in order to especially avoid ovarian and breast cancer (in women) or prostate enlargement and prostate cancer (in men).

And as simple as it may seem, your diet has a significant impact on your female or male reproductive system and its overall health at every stage of your life.

Some of the key diseases linked to poor reproductive system health include:

Dysmenorrhea (painful periods) , Fibroids, Cysts, Sexual impotence, Prostatic Adenoma (enlarged prostate), Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer

The best thing about all this, though, is that YOU have the power to improve and maintain the health of your reproductive system just by paying attention to what you eat and making better food choices.

Here are five(5) superfoods that are great for YOUR reproductive system health:

1. Tomatoes (preferably ripe): Contain lycopene, which causes cells to reproduce in an orderly manner, as well as significant amounts of Vitamins A & C, Folate and Potassium.

2. Mung Bean (Green Soy)
:  Rich in protein, Vitamins B1, B2, B6, calcium, phosphorous, iron & magnesium.

3. Soybeans: Contain two (2) anticarcinogens (prevents cancer) – Isoflavones and Saponins.

4. Adzuki:  Rich in protein, Vitamins B1, B2, B6, calcium, phosphorous, iron & magnesium.

5. Feijoa (if you can’t get Feijoa you can try Guava which is a family food to it): Rich in Vitamin C, contains fibre, folate and potassium and is particularly good during pregnancy, for goiters (goitres) and constipation.

Why You Should Really ‘Eat Your Greens’!

According to Aine McAteer on, “Greens are powerful antioxidants, which are known to protect the body from damage from toxins in the environment and the foods we eat. Antioxidants neutralize these toxins and clear them from the body.”

Financial worries have, in many cases, resulted in the demise of marriages, led to suicide, broken friendships and family relationships, and even caused persons to ‘trip off’ mentally resulting in psychological and mental health problems.

Having enough money to meet our monthly obligations, engage in some recreational activity of your choice, pay down or pay off debts and save some money for the ‘rainy days’, is what most of us aspire to in life.

Unfortunately, however, we will never be able to achieve financial freedom if we work for other people alone.  Why? Because our time is never ours and they always determine what we are worth and how much we will be paid for our efforts.  And judging by wage rates right now and throughout history, it is never adequate enough for our time and efforts.

Of course everybody cannot own a business, since there will be no customers to buy from our businesses but where ever you are in your career right now or even if you are unemployed, you can own a business and propel yourself towards financial freedom.

ORGANO GOLD is one such business venture that can set you on your way towards achieving financial freedom and sustaining your emotional health.  Here are some of the ways ORGANO GOLD can do this for you:

2. Your payments are made at varying intervals – daily, weekly, monthly – so you don’t have to wait to receive money like a salaried employee.

3. You don’t have to pay one single cent for rent, international marketing or warehousing because you can run your business from your home and Organo Gold takes care of the other two (2) elements.

4. You have easy internet access to buy products online at wholesale prices.

5. Your customers have easy internet access to buy products online from 35 countries around the world!

Is mental illness a fact or fiction?

Do you have control over your mental health?

Are you or someone you know who suffers from mental illness in denial?

One of the best and most effective ways to treat with mental illness is to make yourself aware of it. World Mental Health Day was celebrated on October 10, 2012 and this year’s theme was “Depression: A Global Crisis.” Are you suffering from depression? You may be surprised by the findings! Take the Depression Quizz in this article, learn the signs of depression and see if you or someone you know is suffering from depression. “To ignore the evidence, and hope that it cannot be true, is more an evidence of mental illness (William Blasé).”

Through ignorance many people have, knowingly or unknowingly, hurt and in some instances destroyed the lives of persons with mental illness and their families. And educational level was no filter against stigma and discrimination. In fact, one of the most surprising global discoveries made by the World Heath Organization (WHO) is that stigma against persons with mental illness was higher in urban areas and among people with higher levels of education. Surprising, huh!! So please educate yourself about mental illness, become a part of the solution and help end the stigma against persons with mental illness. Remember, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step ( Lao Tzu).”

The Healing Properties of Classical Music

Did you know that listening to classical music can improve your overall health and well-being?

In December 2007, a German-born surgeon – Dr. Claudius Conrad – co-published a research article in the Critical Care Medicine Journal titled, “Overture for growth hormone: Requiem for interleukin-6?” This research article revealed the results of a study he conducted on ten (10) patients in intensive care following their respective surgeries. Half of the patients were given Mozart’s piano sonatas to listen to as background music and the other half heard no music at all.

The study revealed that the patients who listened to the classical music experienced reduced blood pressure and heart rates, required less pain medication and healed faster.

The health benefits of Classical Music are not limited to surgical patients but can be realized at any age as explained in the article, The Best Classical Music for Health Relaxation and Healing
