  1. Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!

    • Well that is just part of life. Maybe you need to think of how to use that experience to explain to her that sometimes amidst the good things in life bad things happen but that she needs to not focus on that one bad experience. For example, you can point out to her all the other great things about going to the beach, like the nice water, playing in the sand, being able to build things on the sand, ice cream treats etc. And to remove the fear of the shells maybe you can promise to test the shell first for her to take away her fear. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend.

  2. This is the right blog for anyone who wants to find out about this topic. You realize so much its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually would want…HaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Great stuff, just great!
